Our project The Ritz-Carlton, Zermatt has been revealed by Marriott International. The press release, published on 21st January, presented the concept developed by AW² for this luxury resort in the heart of the Swiss Alps. The 13,000 m² hotel with 69 rooms is located in proximity to the ski slopes and offers spectacular views of the famous Matterhorn mountain.
The design aims to connect guests with the surrounding environment through the integration of local natural materials and large openings to remove the barrier between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Construction is expected to begin in the next two years and the opening is scheduled for 2026, we will keep you informed as the project progresses.
