This project is one of our first experiences constructing with CLT prefabricated wood. The hotel building is made up of two wings extending out from the centre, offering views of the distant mountains on the north side and views of the newly landscaped terraces on the south side. The distribution aims to respect the topography of the site and existing vegetation. The building comprises two volumes: a three-storey volume housing the hotel rooms covered with aluminium cladding, resting on the other volume, a concrete and glass base on the ground floor. The light-filled, open-plan ground floor contains co-working facilities, meeting rooms, café and bar areas, a gym and access to the outdoor swimming pool and relaxation area. The planted terraces provide drainage and slow the rainwater runoff from the road and neighbouring plots. The project also includes the construction of two landscaped ponds to comply with the requirements to treat rainwater runoff across the site.
