DESIGN TEAM DIRECTOR

As part of its development, AW², an internationally renowned architecture and interior architecture practice with offices in Paris, Montpellier and Geneva, is looking to recruit a Design Team Director to join its Paris office.

Reporting directly to the partners, his/her missions are as follows:

• Manage several projects simultaneously of various sizes and types, which may or may not belong to the same geographical area.
• Responsible for the development and production of all the phases of the project: from briefing, needs analysis, clarification of objectives, design… to project completion, internal and external debriefings.
• In charge of estimating and managing resources and project contracts, planning, production and customer relations, in compliance with the guidelines established by the partners and the managing director.
• Responsible for the quality, profitability and schedules of his/her projects.
• In charge of a team of multiple people (project architects, assistant architects, interns), including recruitment and training.
• Design Team referent, in line with the partners’ design guidelines.
• Contribute to the agency’s strategy implementation and business development.
• Internal and external ambassador of the “AW² project”.

Profile/skills:

• Interior designer or architect with extended experience in interior design. 15 years’ experience minimum in architectural firms, working on international projects. Experience in hotels and upscale residential projects.
• Software: Autocad, Revit, Adobe suite
• Global vision of the practice, the runnings and challenges of an architecture studio
• Simultaneous supervision and management of multiple projects, on all phases of design, studies, development and construction
• Proven creative and conceptual skills
• Construction site experience desirable
• Direct and transversal team management
